We one-shotted Kologarn! This boss is a lot harder than we made it look. DPS and heals were well-coordinated, lolz picked up the adds, everyone managed to keep the eye-beams off their fellow raid-members, and only one of us fell off the edge.
It only took us one or two goes to get the Auriaya pull right
Most of the remaining wipes were due to us thinking we had to keep her two adds alive. Turns out they hit pretty hard and buff each other's damage, which explains why the healers couldn't keep lolz alive. Once we made this adjustment, we 9-manned her
Afterwards we went and had a look at Hodir. By the middle of the second attempt we had the mechanics down but couldn't beat the enrage timer. With a full complement of DPS and a little more coordination with who's breaking out the helpers, we should be fine.
Boorunn picked up some gear upgrades, and Carlfysh got a nice haste trinket.
Everyone who stuck to the same toon for Assembly of Iron, Kologarn and Auriaya picked up The Antechamber of Ulduar, and Carlfysh grabbed Staying Buffed All Winter entirely by accident.
