  • We'll start rotating the progression raiders out in future weeks, as we have 11 casual raiders. I'll keep a record of how many times each person has sat out, to be fair. Be prepared to be subbed out in future weeks.

Can You Make It?

(RSVP macro is currently broken.)

If you cannot make it, please let us know so we can sub someone else in or PUG an extra.

Comments

  • Install DeadlyBossMods. It's a great little WoW addon that will help inform you when something bad is about to happen to you.
  • Bring some gold along to help pay for the flasks and fish feasts. Thatrayna spends a lot of his own gold supplying us with these and they are very very useful. 100g would be great, but if you can't afford that then bring whatever you can afford. A fish feast costs over 250g to make a stack and flasks are not cheap either.

If lolz tanks, I'd like to roll on any healing items that drop as I consider that to be my mainspec. To be fair, I'll also pass on any tanking items that drop.

    1. Jan 10, 2010

In my opinion, a full guild casual run everyone should be able to roll on anything that matches any of their specs.

      1. Jan 10, 2010

Can we use the in-built rolling mechanics for guild runs, I'm keen to get the 'Needy' achievement (wink)

        1. Jan 10, 2010

You and your damn achievement whoring.

          1. Jan 10, 2010

            Achievement pimp!

        2. Jan 10, 2010

Hint for the "Needy" achievement: everything that drops in normal ToC5 is iLevel 200.

      2. Jan 10, 2010

I think that main specs should be prioritised over off specs.

Just because it is a casual run, doesn't mean that the raid members aren't trying to get geared up too.

        1. Jan 10, 2010

          +1
Especially since the casual run is the only opportunity that casual guildies have to roll on really good gear.

          1. Jan 10, 2010

You get better gear from running heoric emblems. We aren't doing Ulduar for gear we are doing it to see it.

            1. Jan 10, 2010

There are a number of slots you can't fill with emblems (feet, weapons, off-hand, etc). My pally's healing shield came from our last Ulduar run, replacing a shield that dropped in Naxx.

              1. Jan 10, 2010

Yes, we even had to run HoR normal mode to get tanking shield upgrades from iLevel 200.

            2. Jan 10, 2010

Ulduar actually does have gear upgrades for me that I can't get via emblems.
              e.g.

              Boots of the Petrified Forest

Plus I think that gearing up a person's main spec faster (even if it is replaceable with emblem gear later) is better than gearing up someone's offspec.

I'd still suggest that we stick to main spec over off spec to be fair. If someone doesn't need an item for main spec, they can still pass on it for someone to take it for offspec.

What do people think about doing Flame Leviathan, XT-002 Deconstructor then Ignis tonight? We can do Razorscale as well, if people are keen.

Ignis is quite a complicated fight for the tanks according to wowwiki and furg's observations. We may take a few goes to get this one down. I think we should get kitty to main tank and rawm to offtank, as DKs are apparently ideal for kiting the adds. Jirra will be ideal for "shatter" duty on the adds and Connie and MB can help by rooting/snare them in the fire with frost nova/concussive shot.

    Tanks: Kitty (Ignis), Rawm (Adds)
Healers: Lolz (MT, raid), Glwys (OT, slag pot)
    "Shatter" duty on adds: Jirra
Snare assist on adds: Connie and perhaps MB
