If you need an item, check to see if one of us can craft it before buying it off the auction house. If you can afford it, it's helpful to try and buy the materials for the item you want first. Crafter's Tome is a useful reference.

i am ready to give up herbalism.
is there a profession that i should take up for the guild?

I think we actually have all of the crafting professions covered, so feel free to pick something you want to level.

I'm guessing that Jewelcrafting probably offers the best bonuses by a slight margin for rogues, but it's pretty expensive to level. You could always pick up alchemy or inscription and drop skinning, since you already have herbalism.

Engineering probably has the biggest fun factor and some decent bonuses too.
