Yeah, this is some really neat stuff.

Very helpful for people starting on WoW, being able to summon their friend for help. It's the first time I've ever seen them "give away" levels.

    The detailed rules explain:

    • It's only for 90 days
    • Summon once per hour up to level 60, only summon equal or lower level "new" characters
    • Only lower level player gets triple experience boost
    • Quest XP is also tripled
    • Rested XP is not consumed while partied with new player
    • Levels only granted to lower-level characters

So, it's all about getting new players AND tgetting veterans to then start new toons to play with their recruited friends. Not a bad idea – it's what I did with Costa and Boorunn when I got them to join. It helps the new players learn & enjoy the game.

A Zhevra mount? You think they could have offered a cooler mount to sign up a friend... like this one

      Amani War Bear

      Big Grin

      Who is Costa?

      1. Aug 06, 2008

Costa was a contractor here about a year ago. I was his WoW dealer, got him hooked. Then he went clean for a while, but is now back online.

Costa has a level 50-60ish Horde main ("Moridin") that he played with Boorun's Horde toon ("Zoomturra") and one of my toons ("Hawful"). They started levelling without me, so I never went past level 20-ish. (All on Nagrand realm.)

Costa has a logon here and I've invited him to twink with us, but I don't think he will.

Isn't this a bit like my crack dealer telling me that if I get someone else hooked, they will give me more crack?

    The detailed rules explain:

    • It's only for 90 days
    • Summon the dealer once per hour up to 60 kms a way
    • Only children get triple crack
    • Cocaine is also tripled
    • Food is not consumed while partying with crack
    • Crack only granted to children
