I'll bring (in order of preference)

Carlfysch (melee dps) > Carlfysh (range dps) > Carlfish (tank heals)

I'd rather not bring Carlfish if I can help it as there's nothing he can get from the run except emblems for the DPS set he never uses.

It's been mentioned on IRC that this clashes with the Monday-only raiders wanting a chance to farm gear and emblems from the first wing. After three weeks of wiping a lot, it might be nice to take a week off progression and just do the easy bosses.

Are we planning starting a fresh ICC on Monday? Isn't that what Thursdays are for?

  3. Jun 29, 2010

Firstly thanks for guild invites. Can bring Tortishifti (Resto Druid that was in the run where first met A new beginning) or Tirius (Prot Warrior although might be a bit rusty at tanking as what little time have been playing it recently have been Fury). If you are full on healers and tanks can bring a hunter but guessing that is unlikely to happen.

      Welcome, Torti

I'll happily swap to dps or whatever if required. Which toon do you want geared up?

    2. Jun 29, 2010

Welcome Dan. Moar druids ftw! (smile) I don't think we've met yet, but I'm sure I'll see you around.

There may not be an ICC run on Thursday this week from recent discussions on IRC. I think we are saving the raid ID to do a reset run on Monday, so that the Monday-only raiders (like me and Miknight) can gear up a bit. I don't know what the final decision on this is. Just check with Carlfish/Carlfysh/Carlfysch next time you're online, since he co-ordinates our runs.

Welcome to the guild, Torti! Catch you online.

      Thanks everyone for the welcome.

Must admit wasn't sure if there was a reset this week or not. If the reset wasn't until Monday would ideally like to bring either toon to that as they are a bit undergeared for later content. Druid has just got over 5000GS although bit of a dilemma as want to keep my tier 9 4 piece bonus until got full tier 10. I do though need the staff off Saurfang (along with just about any other caster I am sure). Warrior is a bit higher but definitely needs mace off first boss and shield off Gunship (still carrying an i200 shield!). I have a slight preference to bringing druid but it is not really an issue as assuming it doesn't break any guild rules would pug the other one out at the weekend for a run.

So where is the Thursday run starting? First 2 wings cleared? I have experience of fights beyond that but not on Druid or Warrior.

Probably won't be on at all this Wednesday evening as it is my wife's birthday so that apparently takes precedence ;P Might be able to sneak on very late for a quick daily.

I don't think a final decision has been made on the Thursday raid yet, but apparently Ruby Sanctum is now an option.

We hang out on irc.freenode.net in #anb during the day if you're able to join us (smile)

Download Mirc and just connected (is there a better client now? Always used mirc previously). Had a bit of fun connecting. The PC it is on is normally on 24-7 but doesn't mean I will be sat at it.

          1. Jul 01, 2010

mIRC is still the best client for Windows afaik: irc://irc.freenode.net/anb

We also have stats here: http://irc.miknight.com/logs/anb.html

I'm using Quassel, it's pretty awesome, cause its, 1) Cross platform, and 2) has the option to run a core module on a server, and a client module that reconnects to the core and keeps track of backlog and the like, so I run the core at home, and connect with the client at home and work. (it also has a monolithic that combines both like a normal irc program)

Ruby Sanctum is open. Want to do that instead?

    1. Jun 29, 2010

I recommend watching some of the PTR videos on Ruby Sanctum beforehand, if you want to do it. In particular, the Halion fight looks complicated.

Halion drops iLevel 258 gear on 10-man (higher than ICC10 gear), so expect the difficulty to be tuned accordingly.

      1. Jun 29, 2010

Yeah I saw a video and does look interesting when you have to balance the two zones. Guess it will be harder for pugs but guild runs on vent should be more successful.
