Tentative (don't die of shock) sign up for MDPS for team bacon. If Luke and I can run the heroics between now and then for some better gear so the trash mobs don't actually laugh me out, I'd like to give it a go =) Oh! and if you know, veterans would rather that's cool, I don't want to steal a spot.

I'd say: Don't worry about your gear Hum, come along, but it looks like we might not have enough for tonight anyway.
You should be online if you can though in case we do get enough, as Charles says, its the most effective way to get gear.

I agree, ICC will get you geared up really quickly. The 30% buff means that you will still be able to contribute to the raid, even if your gear is not awesome (yet).
Plus, you can cast heroism, which will make you everybody's best friend
