2. Results
Malygos: Fail (Many wipes)
Onyxia: Cleared (A few wipes)
- Congratulations to Jirra on her first raid with the guild. And no, we do not want to swap you out for someone who does more DPS.
- Nice work learning the tricky fight against Malygos. We got the hang of phases one and two after one wipe in each, and got the boss down to 10% in our best attempt at phase 3
- In the end, we didn't quite have the DPS in the second phase to give us a fighting chance against the enrage timer in the third. Maybe we should come back when we're one more step up the gear ladder?
- It took us a few tries to get Onyxia down, mostly related to timing bringing her down for phase three
- Fantastic work by Lolz on our very last attempt on Onyxia, solo-healing the last phase so we could finish the night with a victory
- Some nice leather dropped for Boorun

Grats all. This was an awesome run. I've been in pugs which had uber geared people and couldn't down her. It takes a lot of co-ordination. It was nice doing the run with Pete's friends too, instead of total strangers.
I almost had brez up in time to rezz Thatrayna. I could see the cooldown timer counting down on it in seconds as I ran past his corpse in third phase and was frantically clicking the button. Unfortunately, I was out of range and frantically spamming heals by the time it was ready again.
I think the pug warrior won the tanking ring that dropped (that was a shame, although he did deserve it) and Jirra also picked up the head of ony, which can be turned in for a T9 ring. And to reiterate what Carl said, we do not want to swap you or anyone else out

AFAIR, the cooldown on brez drops to 10 minutes in the next patch.
(Which should land in a few weeks: when I logged on this morning to do my dailies the downloader fired up in the background and pulled down 400MB of 3.3 pre-patch)

The only improvement I think we could have made to our Ony run would have been our Vent chat. I didn't hear nearly enough calls of "MOAR DOTS" or "MANY WHELPS! DEAL WITH IT!"
